Thomas Cruise Mapother IV is on his way back to the couch that started his demise from Hollywood star to world-wide ridicule.
The last Tom Cruise movie I saw was Collateral, which was because it was part of a uni assignment, and it was more related to the visual style and cinematography rather than Tom Cruise’s overly peroxided, “two to the chest and one to the head” assassin character. In fact, whatever movies Tom Cruise have participated in my focal point appear to be anywhere but on his contribution.
I started boycotting Tom Cruise’s movies after reading the reports of how mr. Cruise had set up Scientology promoting tents (probably volunteer ministers) on location for the movie War of the Worlds.
I heard about how Steven Spielberg hated being stuck in the middle of Cruise’s aggressive Scientology promotion campaign and fielding media scrutiny on the matter.
It broke my heart to hear about how Mr. Cruise took advantage of his friendship with Mr. Spielberg, a man I believe is a tolerant and kindhearted person, showing no respect whatsoever.
And now we await Mr. Cruise’s reappearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, where he has not appeared ever since he jumped the couch. Oprah has later stated something to the effect that on later reflecting on Mr. Cruise’s couch jumping it was a bit strange, but at the time she thought he only was head-over-heels in love.
I hear Oprah’s ratings have been falling after she came out in support of Obama, maybe this is an attempt to recapture some important ratings figures?
Hmm.
